LOS ANGELES SMILE MAKEOVERS: PART I

As a Los Angeles dentist with an office in Westlake Village, I'm occasionally asked questions like, "what makes your cosmetic dentistry different?" "How do you achieve such a natural result?" The answer to these questions is in the process that we use to help our patients, from the very first time they visit us.

In the first entry of this series, we'll look at the first two steps of the smile makeover process.

Excellent Cosmetic Dentistry Starts With The Concept

In the years since I've been performing cosmetic dentistry, I've learned that good communication and design is an important part of the process early on. During your first visit to our Westlake Village dentist office, you will have an opportunity to meet with me, Dr. Greenman, for a consultation. We will work together to help you decide which treatment options are right for you and will help you to best achieve your goals. Next, my team and I will examine your teeth to make sure that you are a good candidate for porcelain veneers or another smile makeover procedure. Then we'll take a high-resolution digital portrait of you, so that you can compare it to your final result.

Test Driving Your Smile

Once you approve the concept photo and treatment plan, we'll have you visit our practice a second time. During this visit, your teeth will be prepared to receive the porcelain veneers. As your cosmetic dentist, I will make a three-dimensional mock-up and give this to you so that you can "test drive" your changes and determine if any other changes are needed. Once the final changes are completed, the models and photos are sent to a world-class ceramist, so that your porcelain veneers can be custom made.
